Don't get me wrong I love my newborn baby and am so thankful I have a healthy 3 week old but I have to admit that I hate this newborn stage. The baby is easier than my first but the sleep deprivation is really challenging. I'm finding that lack of sleep is also making me more anxious and obviously less patient and I hate that I'm like this.
I think it was around 4 months when it got better with my first but I have no idea how I'm going to survive another 13 weeks!
Am I the only person who hates the newborn stage? When does it get easier? Please tell me it's before the 4 months!!
TIA from a very tired mumma

First 6 weeks was the worst!!
First 6-8 weeks with my second was HORRIBLE! I felt exactly like you.
Always a good idea to speak to your gp about your feelings, but it did get better! It takes a while for everything to settle into a routine that feels natural. I know when my third came along I had to constantly remind myself this because I was frequently overwhelmed.
Hang in there, it will get better. :)
I remember when my first baby was a newborn, someone described the first 3 months as the "survival period" This made me feel a bit better because up until then I had felt like I was just barely scraping through each day. I also think that after 4 months things start to get better, but each baby is different. Don't forget to ask for help, it's hard and you're not expected to do it all yourself. Hugs!
I didn't like the newborn and toddler years, too stressful and exhausting. My little man is four now and I love this age he sleeps in now and you can talk to him and understand what he needs.
