Do any other IMs have really noisy boys?? Mine are so f***ing noisy I feel like I have a constant headache. At ages 5 & 2 they wrestle, play & just do normal boy things.. my problem is I feel angry all the time because of it. I'm naturally a quiet person that doesn't like too much noise but my eldest has always been a loud kid & now my placid littly is also turning LOUD!! Haha I love my boys I just feel like I have to yell at them for any discipline because I'm trying to get them to listen or get the message across over their noise. I'm so over the yelling in my house../
Sooooo mums of loud little boys would you have any advice or tips for me??
Cheers

Pro tip: don't be at home. Spend as much time as you can in playgrounds, parks and outside. Noise and wrestling isn't half as annoying outside.
Teach them quiet time. One 45 minute 'nap time' where they read or play quietly in there own room a day. Little boys can and do play quietly so set up some time in the day for a quiet activity, art/craft/Lego etc. you might need to sit with them and praise them and direct them in a positive way but they can learn this.
I agree with above poster.
Introduce solitary activities inside, and loud activities outside ((easier to do if you live in a house with a yard not sure your living situation))
But a morning out is essential. Go for a walk with the kids, even just around the block. Get them to balance on the gutter like we used to do as kids, or take their bikes. Active boys are happy boys.
Then at home time...introduce the solitary activities. Like Lego, playdough, building blocks, puzzles, train tracks, or building games (my 3yo loves his plastic screwdriver and hammer, he builds all day with them!)
Or maybe introduce story time? Or take them to the library! It's great for quiet and learning.
We read the hungry caterpillar, then on our next walk we collected some leaves and did some artwork with leaves, it was the best quietest hour ever.
Wow your so creative ??
I have three little boys and they are rough and tumble noisy!
Send them outside as much as possible!!! They can be as noisy as they like out there haha.
Take them to parks to burn up energy.
My two older boys have to pick a quiet activity while the youngest is napping. They usually play lego in their bedroom or watch a movie.
Also have a daily routine they can follow to keep the day structured so they know what to expect.
