Back to school for mum ?

can someone please offer me some guidance and previous experience on this as I'm totally lost! I'm a single mum to one who is off to school next year. I currently work part time in the healthcare industry. I want to go to university next year to study however I am unsure if this will be manageable. I live with family and plan on having my outgoing costs/bills down to an absolute minimum by the end of the year. I didn't complete year 12, however had completed certificate III in the industry I'm in. How hard is to get into university? Will I still need to work part time? Studying online is not an option for me as I personally need to be in a classroom learning face to face. I just feel like I have endless doubts and endless questions. I'm scared I won't cope financially and I won't cope trying to be a mum and a student plus possibly still working. Can anyone please share your experiences or point me in the right direction. Thanks so much!

It's very doable. I worked part time, studied part time, lived on my own and raised my child.
Most courses you can pick and choose the number of topics you do each semester. I found one or two topics a semester very doable. Basically that was one of two lectures a week for each topic and a tutorial for each topic once a week or fortnight.
Contact hours really aren't very much at all. There is plenty of help available from the study centre etc.

How hard it is to get in will depend on what course you want to do. Best bet is to research what interests you and go from there.

There is a Facebook group for studying mums which would be helpful to you. Pretty sure it is just "mums who study" ❤️
