Regular intense contractions, but high closed cervix, 3 days to beat induction date

Getting induced in 3 days due to medical reasons. However if i go into labour naturally before hand, hospital is fine for me to continue naturally. Im already contracting, regular and increasing in duration and intensity, went in to be checked and sure enough im contracting, but cervix is still high and closed. I got 2 and half days to get the cervix soft and at least some dilation happening if i wish to avoid induction. Ive been walking, doing squats, soaking in the bath, drinking plenty of water and eating pineapple. Anyone have any advice or tips to help encourage the cervix to soften and dilate. I really would love to avoid induction, since i have the green light to do so.
