Severe back and shoulder pain

Severe back and shoulder pain

Since having my babies 2 years ago I have excruciating back and shoulder pain. I'm not sure if it's linked to the epidural?
I have daily tension headaches in my neck and head. Shoulder blades sore and top half/middle of my back and spine area... not lower back, only relief is nurofen, pressure or getting my partner to crack my back sometimes 2-3 times a day!
When I drink alcohol (which isn't often) my back starts to burn and ache so badly I need to lay down or I'll pass out from the pain! Lifting my kids is a hard chore as well as the cleaning of the house (SAHM)
I'm just not sure if I should be seeing my doctor about this or harden up? Will it go away if anyone has had a similar experience? I've been told it's because of the epidural...? I'm only 23 and feel like I've aged and just so miserable I can't do much I feel like I have to sit or lay down... my kids are missing out on me being involved.

Without a doubt you should see a doctor. It's highly unlikely due to the epidural. But a GP is the best person to help you find relief and ongoing proactive treatment.

Sometimes pain from elsewhere (like reflux) can refer into the shoulder area. You may be getting reflux from alcohol which is a common trigger). A dr needs to assess you to work out where the pain is coming from.
