Feeling nervous about 2nd baby

Feeling nervous about 2nd baby

My first baby was 6 years ago to my ex partner who was never home - cheating alcoholic gambler - I left when my child was 5 months old.
I'm not nervous about labour.
I have this fear of doing it all on my own again or not letting my partner be involved like he should. And although my partner shows NO signs of this I'm worried he won't want to be involved or have a connection with the child. I guess my bad experience is haunting me at the moment.

My partner is wonderful and I know he will be very hands on, he has been great with my 1st child from the age of 2.5.
I have spoken to him about it and he thinks we will be fine and tells me not to worry because he will be helping whether I let him or not :)

How do I let go of this?
I'm 23 weeks so I have 17 weeks to get these thoughts under control!

Maybe I just needed to vent and someone to tell me I'm normal for worrying about this! Any advice would be great xx

Completely normal.

Even if you weren't stressing from your bad experiences in the past, you'd find something else worrying because ITS A BIG DEAL. having babies is a big deal, and that's totally okay and REALLY normal.

You've got this!
