I'm exhausted. I'm so tired that I feel like I could just close my eyes and fall asleep standing up. I can't seem to fall asleep at night. I lay there for ages trying to get myself to sleep. If I get up and do something it makes it harder and takes longer to fall asleep. I than wake during the night for no reason but eventually fall back asleep. The thing is I'm exhausted. I don't no what to do. No matter hoe tired I am I struggle to fall asleep at night. I get up the same time everyday as I've got work. But I'm so sick of feeling tired. I'm in bed anywhere from 9-10 but it always takes me forever to fall asleep. Anyone have any ideas for me? I can't sleep when I'm hot so I have the air con on. I'm sick of feeling so exhausted.

Make sure you are getting enough exercise during the day. Exercise in the evening will keep you awake at night. If I exercise after 7pm I'll be up until 3am.
If you have any stiffness/tense body that can stop you relaxing enough to go to sleep. So if you need a massage get one, take a hot shower/bath before bed and do a meditation/body check exercise when you go to bed.
Screen time is a killer for sleep. Especially tablets and phones. Turn them off/put them down at least an hour before bed. I find TV is ok for me but others need to turn that off too.
Make sure you have no screen time one hour before going to sleep. Don't check the time or your phone in the dark and if you go to the toilet try not to turn the light on. The light will stimulate a part in your brain to think that it should be awake. Don't drink any coffee or tea or have chocolate 6 hrs pre bed time as caffeine can stimulate the brain. Keep your room cool and very dark. White noise or a fan might help xx
Read a book for an hour before you go to bed. No TV or phone. Then have a camomile tea 1/2 hour before bed.
There are plenty of "sleep" pills in the vitamin Isle of the supermarket that can help calm your brain.
I'm the same as you.
Also, 2 kiwi fruits before bed are meant to help. (I read somewhere that those who are two before bed, slept an average of 80 minutes more each night, than those who didn't eat them.
Talk to your GP and see if he/she will send you for a sleep study (Medicare covered)
