Hi IMs, I would love to expand our children's home library with fun books we can enjoy as a family. We need to bring fun reading back into our family, unfortunately the battles with school home readers have made reading a little less exciting.
So tell me what are your kids favorite picture books/storys? Ages 4-10.

Room on the broom, The Gruffalo, the gruffalos child, basically anything by Julia Donaldson
Stellaluna is a favourite in this house and good for big age gaps too :)
Oh so many! Grug, Clifford, anything Dr Suess, The Cranky Bear Collection, We're going on a Bear Hunt, the green sheep, Spot, The Hungry Caterpillar, Diary of a Wombat books, Uni the Unicorn, Possum Magic, Wombat Stew, Noni the Pony and anything by Alison Lester, agree with anything by Julia Donaldson, Roald Dahl... Hope this gives you some ideas and happy reading!! :)
Go to the library you can get lots and its free, then when your kids know what they want buy them one from the scholastic catalogue through school every now and theyll start to see books as prizes not duds
Donald Dahl, Mem Fox, Lynley Dodd, Dr Suess, Andy Griffiths... Go for it Mumma! - the more silly and humerous with language the better :) Mine are in their 20's now and we still recite 'Hairy McLary and "One Fish Two Fish" etc as a family competition to see if we can remember the words :)
