For the last 4 months I have been taking my son to the doctors regarding a lump on his bum near his anus. After I finally got annoyed last week they sent him for an ultrasound. The man there has put worry in me when got a second opinion and asked me why he has had it so long
And to get it removed quickly. We have a doc appointment tomorrow. My question is has anyone's kids had a cyst removed and how was it done. I can only find adult procedures that say a local is used. My son cried and couldn't
Lay still for long during the ultrasound...I'm worried he won't stay still for the need or
For the GP to cut it out.

The GP won't do it in the rooms. They know that kids require extra sedation etc so you will most likely get a referral to a specialist of some kind who will be able to book him in for a general anesthetic.
My son has had to have procedures done like this that as an adult would just be done with a local.
As to the ultrasound technician or whoever freaked you out..... brush what he said aside. He shouldn't have said that. I've had some of them say really inappropriate things to me over the years about my results when it turned out those things were minor non issues. Like one who freaked out and terrified me about a growth that was absolutely nothing to worry about.
