Naps

Naps

Needing advice on naps. When I am out and about my 10 1/2 week old baby will happily sleep in her pram the whole time we are out apart from when she needs a feed. When we are at home she will not sleep in her bed she will fall asleep on me, on the lounge, on her bouncer and everywhere but in her bed. How do I get her to take her naps in her bed?

Does she sleep in her own bed at night? My first was a terrible day sleeper but had no worries at all going to sleep in her cot at night. I gave up and let her sleep where she wanted during the day - as long as she was sleeping I took it as a bonus!

Yeah she is a great sleeper at night and has no trouble falling asleep on her own in her own bed

I found my son slept better when there was a little bit of noise and movement. Think about it, the womb isn't a quiet place at all. It's noisy and there is movement, so it's what they are comfortable with.
At this age I just let him sleep where he slept best. I just continued on with life around him (we were not quiet).
We used to move the bassinet/cot around the house a bit. So he got used to his bed but was still in a noisy space.
Some kids sleep better on an angle (head up higher than feet) because of reflux and not being good at getting rid of there own wind etc. sleeping on you and in a bouncer would mean he is most likely on an angle rather than flat down like in a cot. Some people raise one end of the cot.
