7yo travelling interstate visiting father

Annonomus question
How often do your kids see the other parent when they live interstate and how do they cope?

My 7yo flies interstate all school holidays + 2wkends per school term with court orders stating father is to nominate the weekends this being sometimes only having s weekend at home between visits and flying unaccompanied 25 times per year
I'm finding she is getting sick a lot is over tired and wonder if I should return to court and request a review as the father won't visit even 4 times per year he was the one who relocated
Thoughts/experiences?

Wow thats a lot of flights :( my friend gets his four times a year on school holidays. When he had friends living there he could stay there sometimes to save on flights but once they moved then staying there would cost a lot.
I dont know how long the fights are or how she feels about not seeing him, maybe he will come maybe she would be better seeing him and having a day off school to rest up it does sound like something needs to change

Did he move for love or money? That's a lot for a 7 year old! I'd hate travelling that often, even if it is only 1 or 2 hour flight. It still affects me and some flights mess with my ears more than others. My daughter is really sensitive, there's no way she could fly that often, if at all! My kids have a lot of sensory issues and other support needs, so none of them would enjoy flying solo, and they're teens.

My ex and I only ever live 20 - 30kms away from each other. It's an 80/20 split. He comes to all school meetings, sporting events, assemblies, etc. Employment and housing is hard to find around here, but we make sacrifices for our kids.

You know your daughter, and what is best for her, as long as that's the only motivation, then go ahead and re negotiate. As she gets older it can change again. And even if the amount of visits don't change, I'd be specifying more of a gap between the two weekends in the term. That seems pretty bloody reasonable to me!?! All the best! Thankfully I've never had to deal with lawyers and courts xx
