Nose job

Hi IMs

I am completely self conscious of my nose and this has affected me throughout my entire teen and adult life. I don't like tying my hair up as I feel it makes it stand out. I feel like I have to have a fringe all the time so again my nose isn't standing out solo.
I have decided to look into a nose job but I have no idea where to start. I googled it and became overwhelmed.

Have any other mummys out there had this procedure done and been happy they did it?
Can anyone recommend a Perth surgeon for me?

Honestly, start with your GP. They can help you find a surgeon in your area who knows which surgeons specialise in nose jobs.

Definitely do it! I had a large nose with quite a significant bump and was teased terribly through the early years of high school. By the end of Year 9 my mum was amazing and allowed my to get it corrected. I honestly looked like a witch. My husband now can't believe it when he looks back at photos. I also had trouble breathing so that was also a contributing factor. If you go to your GP and explain, they will give you a referral to a surgeon. I had mine done in Brisbane so no recommendations sorry. It was painful for a while but it was absolutely worth it!!

My mil hated her nose for almost 50 years. Being an Australian born greek, she had a seterotypical 'wog nose' and was teased her entire life for it, including into adulthood. In the end, at 52 years old, she had a surgeon correct her deviated septum, and while there, got the surgeon to make it smaller as well. She couldn't be happier and has often lamented that she wishes she'd gotten it done sooner. If it is something that has affected your life and self esteem badly, do it. Go to your gp and ask for a referral. Research those surgeons in your area, to see who is well recommended. Good luck mumma. I hope u find a way to be happy in your skin
