Hi sisterhood, I have recently been diagnosed with a chronic disease that has caused me to go deaf upon other things. I have always worked full time and run my own business. It's now impossible for me to work as the basis of my job requires to be able to talk over the phone, talk to customers and be able to cope with manual labour which I just cannot do anymore.
I am a single mum and I'm really struggling to come to terms with my condition and not being able to work. My job was fairly high paying and we live quite comfortably but I haven't really got much savings behind me.
I will be applying for Centrelink disability pension or sickness benefit. I'm not exactly sure which one I need to go for, but I'm hoping someone could give me a rough estimate as to how much I would be entitled to with 2 kids both not in school? We currently live in a house which I won't be able to afford with no job, plus a car loan, credit card etc.
I'm also looking if anyone has any work I could do from home, that will pay me an income, and where I won't need to hear or stand for long periods of time (chronic vertigo) I'm not interested in recruiting, MLM, or get rich quick schemes. Even if it's something for a couple of hours a day, anything helps!

877.40 a fortnight about the same as single parents payment you would also receive your family tax benefits on top of that.
It's not a lot but if you change your living circumstances accomodation etc to suit then it's doable. If renting you'd also qualify for rent assistance.
Sorry sorry this is happening to you ! Definitely look into centrelink but ado check with your super if you had income protection Insurance or the disablement insurance !! If you had it on ur super you could be eligible for it ?
Good luck !
