Kindy lunchbox suggestions

So my son starts kindy tomorrow and everything is all organised and we're all set. Apart from what to put in his lunch box...the kindy has a policy in place saying that processed and packaged foods arent allowed, which is fine...but besides a sandwich and some fruit im stumped as to what else i can give him...any suggestions? I would love some ideas that are quick and easy to prepare

Air popped popcorn, veggies (carrot and celery sticks with some hummus dip), make some small savoury muffins or bake some banana bread or homemade bliss balls. Perhaps something that is packaged but take it out of the package - like an unwrapped muesli bar.

Just as an aside it sh*ts me to tears that schools lay these rules down on kids and their parents. I'm down with less packaged and processed foods (especially in terms of litter reduction) and certainly not into junk food as suitable lunchbox food but policing kids' lunchboxes to that degree is insane. I hope you can find some good ideas in this thread!

Our schools the same and unfortunately some parents are so clueless when it comes to health and nutrition they need these policies in place. They send heaps of crap in their kids lunches and the poor teachers are left with the aftermath of trying to teach kids coming down from sugar highs! Plus there will always be better lunch items than others.. when it's a blanket policy for everyone you don't have kids bribing food off their mates etc if they have something better/brighter packaged than them. There are heaps of healthy options... veggie sticks with homemade dip, homemade muesli slices/fruit muffins/crackers and cheese, scrolls, fried rice etc. good luck, once u get in the swing of it, it will come easy ?
