It's my daughters 4th birthday soon and I'm not sure what to do for a present. She has everything she needs/wants. There really isn't anything I can think to get her. It was just Christmas and she got a massive outdoor playgym/set the wooden ones. She doesn't need anything inside.
I'm wondering do I
A) get some more crap to cluder my house that she really doesn't need
B) buy a something for a theme park/zoo etc either a few different one day passes or one year pass
C) get practical things (tho she really doesn't even need anything practical)
D) a little short camping holiday as we have kindy and work but could probably do a night or two.
I come from a big family so there always so many presents and they all ask what she needs/wants etc so she doesn't really need anything.
Stuck on what to do. I do have a few little things in the cupboard mini skateboard, outside throw game, etc that could be wrapped and given to her.
I thought maybe the ticket somewhere because that would be an awesome memory but I wouldn't be able to take her on her birthday unless I took time off work we'd have to go in a weekend.

B) How about pre-paid movie tickets? That way she can pick say 4-6 movies a year to go and see them at the cinema! Or like you suggested, theme parks and zoos if you're close enough to get good use out of a year pass would be a great idea. Especially if you requested money from the rellies to get one of the "extras" where she can have her photo taken with a koala or a lion cub or meercats etc. Then she gets a photo to remember the day, and because they'll miss seeing it you could copy the picture and put it in with a little thank you note to everyone that contributed
Tickets for a kids concert or event coming up might be a cool idea. Stuff to get ready for back to school that she can pick herself maybe
Both my kids birthdays are close to Xmas it can be so hard. My family always gives them money then they can save it for something they want later in the year. They always get books and a DVD or two. Then we try and get them gift voucher for an adventure like kayaking, or laser tag, tree tops etc etc. or tickets to a live show even if it's not on until later in the year we have done shows like cirque du soleil, the lion king, Disney on ice etc etc. the kids always love it and it's something we can do as a family. My step daughter is a little older and has asked for movie voucher so she can go with her friends. Think outside the box
