Last stages of life made more comfortable

Worried about my grandmother
She has dementia
She is in last stages of her cancer
Has been very sick
Is pallative
And now on the morphine drip
And will increase dosage gradually
To end all her suffering with more ease
My question is i feel that one.of the siblings is making her end of life so difficult
Without consulting the other 3 siblings
Whom are all capable of making decisions about
Their mother
Now my grandmother has been sick for quiet a few years now
So we are not suprised with the going ons with our grandmother
Its like this one sibling is trying to prolong her life
Which is so so sad to see
She is extreamly agitated in a great deal of pain
So really its time to fly away and rest in peace
It feels like the brakes are on really hard
Im so heartbroken i need advice on what i can do to ease my grandmothers pain the right way
Thankyou IMs

Hug your grandmother, hold her tight, be there. It is such a hard road and sometimes it is just so very hard to let go. Support the other siblings (the ones that you believe are doin the best thing by g'ma by being there and reassuring them. But remember to look after yourself too. Take time out each day that is just for you. Hugs from me to you, I've been there too! Tap into the resources available like social workers and palliative care nurses. Wishing your grandmother a peaceful speedy final journey 'home'.

I do kiss her and hold her hand and run my fingers through her hair
And she love that
She closes her eyes and looks relaxed
Just for short periods
Its so upsetting to see her she should be sedated more

If you are worried about her agitation and pain levels definitely talk to the CN and raise your concerns xx
