Hi, I'm looking for advice/recommendations on fertility specialists in Adelaide SA.
I'd love to hear your personal stories (not necessarily success rates) but how you felt the process went, what medical staff you'd recommend and the cost of treatment etc.
Back story: I'm 24 and have a 7yr old, 6yr old and 2 1/2 yr old. My husband and I have been trying for over 14 months now with no luck. I fell pregnant naturally and very easily with the first two. Then when trying for our third we suffered 4 miscarriages and 1 ectopic. We were seeing a gynaecologist and discovered I have a low egg count, have endometriosis and also lost my left tube due to the ectopic pregnancy. Luckily 3 months after the ectopic I fell pregnant naturally with my third.
We are now considering IVF to have our fourth.

We r 3 months pregnant through ivf we live in newcastle and have gone through
Genea they are Australia wide

We are a lesbian couple so we went through
DICSI (donor sperm)
My partner is 36 years old
We started our ivf journey june 1st 2017
And now 3months
And has cost us $21000
So its a lenghty process
But well worth it if u are using your partners sperm it is alot cheaper of course

I don't live in SA, I live in QLD...but we started our fertility journey with a private fertility specialist about a year before we fell pregnant. Appointments for consults were actually pretty reasonable - (just appointments to talk - no scans or special medications or procedures, etc) about the same as a private GP, about $50 out of pocket. We paid roughly $190 per visit because we had scans etc (issue was with my ovulation) but I got some back on medicare. We are happily 21 weeks naturally pregnant with a healthy baby boy and all up I think we have spent around $2000. I wouldn't change a thing, and the guidance and knowledge we gained from seeing a specialist was DEF worth it. It is such a piece of mind knowing you are doing everything you can under the guidance of someone experienced. Priceless.
