Hi lovely ladies, we are relocating to Cairns early next year and I'm hoping to get advice on suburbs and schools. We have a 3 year old and a newborn so looking for a young family friendly suburb with a good kindergarten, swim school and playgroup. We would like to live within 30 mins of Cairns center for work. Anyother advice or suggestions would be hugely appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Basically most places are 30 minutes from town in Cairns ? Depending on finances, my favourite family friendly suburbs would be: Freshwater, Edge Hill, Whitfield and Stratford. Even a bit further out, Redlynch is lovely. Unfortunately, I don't live in any of them because they are a little pricey for me, but if you are coming from a capital city, you may find them cheap. Good luck with the move, you will love Cairns, it is an amazing place.
I live in Smithfield, great location close to shops and daycare. 30 minutes to Cairns city. Recently felt like moving for a change but decided the location was to good to pass up
