My daughter is a little over a year old. Suddenly she is crying when people come over to visit. It's not strangers either. My father stayed over for Christmas and she cried when ever he talked to her. She's fine with my mom. Does great with my mom-in-law but aunts and uncles are a no go. Is this typical one year old behavior? I noticed it started after we took her to see Santa, whom she didn't like at all. Have I scared my child for life by introducing her to jolly old St Nick? What can I do besides talking in a calming voice and telling her who her family is? Thanks y'all!

I think it pretty normal. My 16mo doesnt like my father and cries if he even looks at her. Yesterday my fil arrived for a visit and i expected her to cry at him too as he is a lot bigger, and louder than my father and fil has facial hair which i thought may have been an issue but with 10 mins of arriving home from the airport she was sitting on his lap. My fil hasnt seen bub since she was a baby and my father sees her every few weeks. I dont know what my father has done or why bub doesnt like him but he is the only person she has an issue with. I have no advice just know your daughter isnt the only one xx
Thank you!
