Do you think it's rude when it's your birthday ( one day of the year just for "you" ) and so called friends can't even acknowledge you ? Scrolling through my Facebook & seeing who could actually be bothered to take a few mins to wish me a happy bday today is an eye opener. ( put it this way I have so many other people on there that I thought were friends )
What pisses me off is when it's their birthdays I wish them a HB ?
Am I being childish lol ? Or do other people find this rude?

If your friends are friends, they'll remember it and go out of their way to at least say it.
My birthday is Boxing Day, so I know the forgotten feeling all to well. Over shadowed by Christmas as all.

I usually go to a lot of trouble to wish everyone a happy birthday, but if I don't happen to be on Facebook that day then it won't happen, it usually means there is some really big disaster happening!
Close people like my sisters, mum and dad would usually get a phone call, but there are years I've missed it, not because I haven't thought of them but because big shit had gone down with my child and I just can't get to it until a few days later. I'm talking near death shit.
Most of my friends on Facebook are juggling A LOT of balls. Way more than most people so I wouldn't hold it against them if they missed me a year or two. So I know they'll forgive me my slip ups.
I suppose it depends on what sort of people they are too. Are they the sort that give a toss about anyone's birthday? Some people just don't seem to do birthdays, do they have shit going down that might cause them to slip up this year? Otherwise you've got a right to be pissed!
I'm a shocker for remembering birthdays, absolute fucking shocker. I remember my best friends, other friends I kinda know the month but if I don't get a reminder of some sort I'll not post in case it's the wrong day! I don't call, hate phones. I have one for work and it's the bane of my life, I'd rather post or message a birthday wish.

None of my "friends" could even be bothered coming to see me for drinks when I had an invite out 2 months in advance
Literally for a quiet few drinks at home
And on the day of my birthday EVERYONE was either sick/working so I literally spent the day just me and my daughter with the odd few messages from my parents/grandparents and aunties etc
My best friend of 15 years fails to wish me happy birthday ON my birthday every year! Its actually become a bit of a joke. She then calls me a day or two late begging me for forgivness haha! The thing is, we are both super busy and even though we love each other to death, life sometimes sneaks in the way. Or we are just shit friends hahahhaa!

I never wish people Happy Birthday on FB, if they're my good friend and I know when their birthday is I'll send them a txt message, or pick up the phone and chat. I don't see he point to wishing people happy birthday on fb when without it I wouldn't even know it's their birthday ...
