I don't remember exact age, but I was in primary school. Either year 5 or 6. So around 10 years old I guess.

If you go to the GP, I've they can some times delay it for a couple of years, as 9 years can be classed as early.
I was 11, both my sisters were 11. I was not the first girl to get my period at school. I was probably the 7th girl.
I was 8 and from that first period it was perfectly regular 34 day cycle.
My mum was also 8 and her mother was 9 so in our family it was pretty normal to get it young.
I feel ya...... my 10 yo daughter is exactly the same. Showing signs and slight spotting. Safe to say I am terrified of when it actually happens but she is so excited about so I think I have prepared her enough for it. I was 12 but my mum was 11 so it's not that young these days unfortunately. Wish they would stop growing so quickly. All the best
Mine was exactly 1 week after my 10th birthday and its now been almost 19 years and I have NEVER had a normal cycle. I hope hers is the complete opposite as mine as I've seen 4 different gynos and hospitals with 0 answers.
But from what I've heard between 10- 12 is the 'normal' age these days.
That's something that im concerned about as i got my first at 14 didn't get it again until I was 15 then i was all over the place. It finally became regular when i had her at 28.
I was 12, in year 7 and most of the girls in my group of friends all got theirs about the same time which was good so we could all talk about it
I was in high school and about 14-15 i think. Had friends who got theirs in primary school-under 10 years old some of them. I was the late bloomer and was well aware of what was going on so not so much of a shock to me but definitely will be preparing my little lady earlier than I was because it does seem that girls are getting periods earlier and earlier these days :) Good luck with your baby x
I started having spots of bleeding at 9 and a full period at 10 its nothing to worry about just explain it to your daughter so she understands properly
