Hi lovely ladies, I have a question but please no bashing.
My hubby and I have 4 amazing sons together and we absolutely adore them but hubby and I have been discussing having one last try for a girl BUT we will be looking into gender selection so we can 100% complete our family. (Hubby knows if we have another son I won't be done having babies lol) where in Victoria is the best olace to look into ivf and roughly how much does it cost? I would love to do it the old fashioned way but I think hubby is apprehensive and would rather the guarantee gender.
Any info on where to start would be most appreciated.

You can't gender select through IVF in Australia. It's against the law.
You would have to go overseas.
Gender selection is illegal in Australia
I know they are trying to legalise it here.
Like I said I don't mind doing it the old fashioned way I will adore bubs regardless of gender.
I don't understand your question then.
If you know it can't be done ( yes they are trying to legalize but realistically that's a long long way before it happens )
You have a 50/50 chance with any pregnancy so if your happy to keep going then do it. If hubby isnt then you need to be ok with this or find a middle ground
Agree, legalisation is a very long way off, you would have to go to the U.S.
I say just be happy with the family you have. Lots of people only have sons and they live happy lives. Gender selection is really expensive and that sort of money would be better spent on the kids you have.
I had friends who looked into doing this overseas, they also have 4 boys. As well as it costing over $20k to travel over and for the procedure they would have had to leave their kids for close to a month. You have to go over at a certain time in your cycle, have the eggs and sperm harvested and then hopefully some will take and then they do the procedure then you have to wait for a certain amount of time before being allowed to travel. Then there is the possibility that it doesn't work and then you have to do it all over again. As much as they would love a little girl they decided that that time away from their kids wasn't worth it, as well as that amount of money for an uncertain outcome. I have nothing against people who choose to do it but sometimes you just have to be happy with what you already have :)
You can't gender select in Australia, have a look into the 'shettles method'. No judgement here I'm a mother of 5 boys so completely understand, I felt how you did and was desperate for a daughter but when I had my 5th son I knew I was finished and finally happy.
Why can't u just be greatful for the 4 precious boys u have to my u are just being ungrateful
Our natural genetic impulse is to procreate and to multiply ie... make more of ourselves. Not only is it her desire it's a natural inborn desire for mothers to have daughters and fathers to have sons. Jealousy has no place in the posters questions, if she was asking someone to swap her newborn for a newborn of the opposite sex then you could criticise but right now she's talking about the possibility of getting what she desires. - money isn't an object she's brought up, maybe she's won the lotto, having a child and raising if is the least selfish thing a person can do. You could have spent the money you paid for products/services on sponsoring a third world child you selfish person...,but it's not the same... why because you don't get any personal fulfilment or joy out of it - you selfish cow you.
I have two lovely sons and my hubby and I decided to go to the US to guarantee #3 was a girl. Went through ivf over there at 32 cost approx 12000. We were successful first go. She is now 3. Have a look at the website gender dreaming.
Prime example of why I don't believe IVF should be available! Be grateful that you have 4 babies already, so many women would love to have even one!
Hi my partner and myself are currently going through Ivf
Our very first appointment with the fertility specialist to now we have spent $20,000
We had our second embryo transfer only yesterday
Long long process but will be worth every cent
We are going through Genea
So I suggest you give them a call they are Australia wide
They will be more than happy to answer your questions
