Toxic house, please help

Toxic house, please help

My home environment has become toxic (potentially abusive and un-safe for mine and my child's well-being but I can't afford to rent or buy.
I am in SA, I have a child, I am studying, I am on a centrelink and unable to work during other personal problems, I am lost at what to do. But I know I can't stay here.
Help! Please!!!!

More info:
I live with family who were my only option from leaving toxic relationship and now need to leave here as also become toxic.
I receive the single parenting payment.
Due to study, stress through custody issues and stress at home I am unable to work.
From places I have seen advertised it is not cheap enough to afford food and extra bills etc.

How old is your child? Single parent payment is enough to live on.
Look for granny flats, share house, cabins at caravan park for furnished and shorter or no contract, while you get sorted long term.

I live in SA and am a single parent I can definitely afford to rent.
But you have to get out safely first and into a DV shelter. They can then help you find a place to live permanently.
Ring 1800respect. If you have family that can take you in for a few months that's a good option too.
HousingSA can help with bond for a rental. Look at the Centrelink website to find out what payments you would be entitled to, parenting payment single, rent assistance, family tax benefit etc. I think there is an emergency payment for DV situations.

Contact Centrelink families and ask to speak to a social worker regarding DV payments. They can also put you in touch with housing. Goodluck mumma ❤

Thank you everyone. I have begun looking at places within my budget. Tonight showed arguments in front of my daughter so I am working on getting out ASAP

I work at Families SA, all the above comments are correct. You can also contact Uniting Care Wesley for help with finding a place.
Thank you for putting your children first and getting out. You're an amazing Mum and you can do this :)
