Minimum age for flying (accompanied)

Hi IMs,

Can anyone tell me the absolute minimum flying age in Australia? My baby is due a couple of weeks before my Brothers wedding and I have been informed that newborns can fly before 4 weeks?

Thank you

On Virgin Australia you need medical clearance for a newborn to fly prior to 7 days old. After that there are no problems.
Best to check with each airline though

Just looked at Qantas, it's the same rules. Once Bub is over 7 days old you can fly without medical clearance.
