Has anyone been to prison that would care to share their experience? There's a possibility I will be going away for fraud and I'm truly terrified so trying to prepare myself as best I can

What did u do if you don't mind me asking? I hope you don't have to go to jail?
I'm sorry I can't be of much help, never been on the inside but have you watched real housewives of New Jersey? Her experience wasn't bad at all. Sending you love at this difficult time.
Bring fraud I assume you would be going to a minimum security prison. Which as far as I know is probably not too bad. There's usually no violent offenders in minimum security. I'm sure there'd still be some scary and shit people but I don't think you should be terrified
Yes I agree and I think it is more communal living type scenarios, I have seen them on tv. Unlike the men, the women in those minimum security places seem quite compassionate with each other and they all miss their kids. They seem to bond and care more, the bad eggs are in the higher security places. I am sure it will be fine.
It is going to be hard. The first day you will receive clothing that will most likely be too big. The underwear will be somewhat like a version of bridget jones. They will also be too big. The door slams hard the first night. And as much as they say its going to be ok, its not. Try watching wentworth. Its not the same but similar. The woman will only like you for 2 reasons
1. You have money and they need it for their special shop. (Sorry to be rude but just a guess fraud probably money related)
2. If you are a strong burly woman. Someone they can use to get what they want.
If you have none of the above you are in trouble.
Prison is scarey.
Prison is hard.
Sorry its the truth. And if you get sentenced then no offence you probably do dererve it.
Here is my advice.
Keep your head down. Do your time. Use your time wisely work out. Not just your body but your mind. Better yourself so when you do come out of prison you get a chance to be a law abiding citizen. A better person..
Time to learn your lesson. Sorry to be harsh but aomeone had to tell you.
I have been to prison brisbane womans correctional facility. There was lots of woman in there for fraud. You will make friends, everyone does just don't get involved with the bad shit people do just keep your nose clean. All sorts of people are in there just like out here. I was in with murders, fraudsters, armed robbers and drink drivers you just have to remember they are just people too. Good luck I hope you don't have to go it's very lonely in there x
You will start out in maximum security for about 6 months, you have zero freedom, the screws will call you a whore amounst other horrid names. You may have too sleep on the floor, human rights don't matter in over crowded woman's prisons. You need to change tampons in front of someone, you have a weekly spend amount of $50, that's it!! Visitors need too book a visit 24 hours, if you get put in lock down, visitors will be turned away, timed 10 minute phone calls... prison sucks, don't commit crime!! Get yourself a good lawyer.
This is not 100% correct, a friend of mine isin jail and yes they were in a maximum security to start with but only for a week before being taken to a minimum security. They get 3 visit days a week, they're out side (not in a yard but a lovely area) plus work and do lots of course and activities. They cook their own dinner in their kitchens of their units, they do lots of different things. This person hasn't committed murder they have committed fraud, it's jail because you can't leave and you are told what to do so have your freedom taken away.
