Hi guys,
I need some help! My 3 year old is constantly hitting us (mum and dad) and his immediate family and friends. I am not sure on how to discipline him. For example his nan and pa went to give him a kiss and cuddle goodbye and he hit them in the face instead. It's constant even with us. He is also hitting his friends. When I asked him today in the car why did he Ela today all the time he said "because it made her cry". Obviously he is wanting a reaction but it's obviously not the right way to go about it. He gets quite excited easily and it might be a little overwhelming for him seeing family and friends but it's getting quite embarrassing. HELP please! What do I do!

I dont know your child, with mine i would do one rule reminder, 'we do not hit other people, be gentle. If you cant then you cant play' maybe two if its a long time between, then a timeout. Sit him on a chair and tell him he cant play if he hits people and hurts them. He needs to remember to be gentle before he can join in. After a few minutes
Give him a big hug and show him gentle hands and praise his and get him involved.
Effectively getting no attention for hitting and attention for being gentle.
