My miss 10 started spotting today and I don't really know what to expect next eg will she spot for a while or start her "proper" periods? I've given her some pads, clean underwear, plastic bag and some pantie liners to keep in her school bag just incase. I'm so not ready for this!

I remember with my period, I spotted every month for a about 6 months before my period actually started.
Mine was light for the first month and then kicked into full gear by 3 months. My sister got one period every 12 months until she was 16! Unfortunately you just have to wait and see.
I got my period at this age. It doesn't really matter if you're ready or not lol if they're coming they're coming. Everyone is different though some girls spot and others don't.
My daughter started spotting aged 10 - scared the crap outta me as I didn't start until 13....talk honestly with her, sounds like you've already nailed the emergency kit, if it's not a drama to you she'll be more comfortable with the rest of puberty and all the joys - well done ☺️
