Salvos, Anglicare, you could speak to a Centrelink social worker as they usually have contacts in your area.
Sometimes facebook has buy swap sell pages. There is also a group called freecycle that sometimes gives away things.
If you go to a GP you can get a mental health plan and speak to a counsellor.
When I left my ex I did that and my counsellor gave me a referral to a place called "staying home leaving violence"
They can help you, they did wonders for me. I had my ex charged and got avos. Staying home leaving violence came to court with me, went to the police station whenever I needed to report breaches and assisted me with applying for compensation through victims services. I ended up getting all my moving expenses reimbursed (twice, I had to move a second time because the police accidentally told my ex where I was), furniture, bond, clothes, blankets, basically everything I needed to be set up was all paid for (totalling about $10k with a $1500 recognition payment)
It's not easy to get these payments, you need to jump through quite a few hoops and be genuinely victimised by your ex but get the support of your counsellor and staying home leaving violence and they will help you every step of the way.
There are "paying it forward" facebook groups that are great.
They help people in need, womens rescues and anyone else needing anything. Everything is FREE including their food hampers. You can ask for stuff and let them know why and no doubt you will have everything you need afterwards.
I donate on there regularly and the women and men are truly amazing.
