Mature aged apprentice chef
I've worked every crappy job out there that has suited family life (not me), but feel like it's time to do something that I want. I would love to apply for a apprenticeship as a chef, but at 40 years old with 3 kids, I'm wondering if financially/mentally I can make it work? My husband works full time, but works away roughly 4/5 nights a week. kids are in primary school, but everything & anything to do with them is my responsibility, this will not change. I have a great supportive husband so definitely no issue there. I have no family where I live, all friends work full time, so nobody else to help. Roughly what is the wage like & trade school commitment like? I live in Victoria. Thanks.

You can get a nanny?
I would imagine as a chef most of your work would be at night so that would make it tricky. I think there are some family day care situations where they watch the kids at night. THat might be helfpul.
