I'm considering moving out of Australia. The cost of living here is just so expensive. We are a family of 4. 2 children 1 with Autism. I would love to move somewhere like Canada. I don't even know how to start researching this stuff. Any advice would be great

Don't go to Canada. Funding there for kids with autism is woeful! My friend is just moving back from Canada (works with autistic kids) and she said services are very much better here.
Just because Australia's cost of living is higher, doesn't mean it would be better to move.
How much would it cost to move there?
Would you have to buy a house and furnish it? (Expensive).
Do they have free health care?
What are the average wages?
(Some times it's cheaper to live in these places because many jobs only go for less than $10 an hour etc).
Then you also have to factor in are these countries safe?
Australia never has mass shootings, very rare terrorist threats.
Good luck researching.
I understand this, that's why I'm
Asking. I don't know where to start when it comes to researching because there is so much to think about. Just because we never have mass shootings doesn't mean our country is the safest. Australia is so expensive and quite frankly it's going down the shitter. I want my kids to experience travel and learn new things.
The world is currently not set up so you can just move countries. Work visas, residency visas, business visas etc. are an absolute nightmare, unless you work in a specialist field and are in demand. Research the countries that let foreigners in as a starting point and go from there, good luck, I hope you find what you are looking for, it could be very exciting.
Also, if you are looking at moving for a year or so for the cultural experience and have some savings behind you, you and hubby could look at teaching English if you have any type of degree. The money isn't great, but it would be an amazing year for you and the kids. Look into countries like China, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan, there is a demand in these countries. I did this straight out of uni, was awesome.
I lived in Canada for a year on a working holiday. Mind you it was as a single person with no kids. I house shared with 2 friends a 2 bed unit in Vancouver rent was 2000 a month. I worked in retail which was $20 an hour as a permanent full time position. I never needed to access health care but my employer offered it. I foubd an employer who was willing to sponsor me to stay on permanently but i made an emotion driven decision to come home which i regret. I googled recently there is a website of employers looking to hire people from overseas there are jobs depending what you want. Look for Facebook groups like aussies in canada. Food seems cheaper but they add tax on at the checkout in some states. Fuel is the same its cheaper to drive over the boarder to the us for fuel. But as a kid who grew up in different countries if you do it right the experience is worth everything and opens your eyes to different walks of life.
