Letting go of money owed to me?

Im looking for opinions. I'm a person based on integrity and principle. And I've trusted people to do the right thing, and I've ended up with a lot of people owing me money and false promises to pay it back. It equates to close to $400,000 in rental arrears and loans. I am a anti-social when it comes to small talk and liars, as I just can't stand it anymore, but I feel like just letting this money go may be the right way to move on with life.... What would you do? Some have court judgements to be enforced, others need to be sent to court as they've said 10/20/30 times they'll pay.

400k? How did you manage to loan out that much money?

I think you probably need to look at each debt individually and the chances and cost of getting the money back. Plus weigh up how much not having the money will effect you versus all of the other things I mentioned.

Definitely try and get it back.
If it's large amounts from a few people, definitely do it!
You deserve that money.
Give them a certain time to start making payments, if they don't do it, get them charged.
If you're kind hearted, maybe offer to halve their debts.
But do try and get it back. It will only teach these people that they can use others.
