Birth after 3rd degree tear.
Hi mums,
The tittle pretty much says what I need advice for. I'm due to give birth in 3 months an last birth was almost 2 years ago. Just seeing how mums went after a 3rd degree tear. I'm still traumatized, birth control obvs didn't work. Please every story and detail. Just need to see what other outcome was. Yes every preg is different but still would like to hear stories. I'm scared!! And want to give natural birth but don't want to go through near what I did! Also if you've had a 3rd degree tear, what changes did you make to avoid tearing as much.
Might add that when my partner and I have sex, I can tear a little. Even when I wipe a number two sometimes I tear. Nothing major just a little graze. I thought id be looser but somehow My veevee feels like it did before I have birth (if you know what I mean).
Thanks mummas.

I wasn't as bad as you, but I had a second degree episiotomy with my first. (Would've torn badly if I wasn't cut. )
My second I tore less than first degree, requiring no stitches.
Every birth is different, so don't go in to labour scared.
I had a 3rd degree tear and a episiotomy with my first (10lbs babe), with my second and third babes I only had grazing. They were smaller though. Usually things are a tad more stretched after a first baby so hopefully you'll find you'll breeze through it.
I had an episiotomy (third degree) with my first and a very long and painful labour. 3 years later with number 2, I only had a small tear (few stitches required) and everything was much quicker and easier. I was out of bed the second the epidural wore off and bouncing around the delivery room. When I decided to walk to the ward the nurses were all very surprised and trying to get me to rest but I felt great!!!! I didn't get out of bed for almost 24 hours with my first!!! Every birth is different.
