I know this sounds silly but I am afraid I am going to have a heart attack at the dentist.
I get heart palpitations which are apparently caused by anxiety and nothing to worry about. I also have a tooth that needs to come out.
I've already attempted to get it removed once under gas but chickened out after they began pulling the tooth. My heart got up to 130 bpm and keep skipping. So I'm basically I'm worried my heart is going to go into overdrive and give me a heart attack. Yes, I know this sounds ridiculous.
I went to my doctor who has given me valium to help relieve the anxiety while in there. I also have a bit of health anxiety.
Appart from the valium or sedation, does anyone have any tips on how to get through the procedure?

Take the meds! I have to medicate my son to take him to the dentist. You could try listening to a relaxation app too. I have one called 'Calm' it's great. You can wear earphones and it will take you through a relaxation you can do in the dentists chair.
But I'd also take the Valium!
