This is just a shout out to all the present parents. We are amazing. Single mums or dads who always put their kids first. Whose ex partners just announce 'I'll be going away from this date to this date and can't have the kids'. Parents who then have to cancel and change plans to accomodate to have the children those times. Parents who can never book a holiday for themselves because if they dared ask their ex partners to have the kids so they can do so would be replied with a simple 'i can't have my child/children those dates'.
This is a situation I find myself in time and time again. It's exhausting. Though I love spending time with my kids and am always happy to have extra time with them I'd also love nothing more than to just be able to plan a holiday for myself and have some time to recharge.
So for all the other parents who are in similar situations I just want to say well done! Go you! And I know how hard it is. There will be plenty of times for holidays when the children move out. Except by then all we will want is to have them home again.
Happy Father's Day to all thre single Dads, and single Mum's who are Dads too. And anyone else who is a Dad to the kids in their live. You all rock!

I want to take my chidlettes on a holiday but can't due to their other parent not allowing us but they can happily take them on a vacation and not a word can be said to them about it :(
