How to limit adult content on your kids iPads

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about 'what's happening to our boys and girls' - about a seminar presented by author Maggie Hamilton.
Since then someone has approached me telling me their 10 year old child has accessed inappropriate content on their iPad asking me how to stop that. I know how to do it on iPads and iPhones but don't know how it's done on android devices.

I thought I'd just share because quite a few responses suggested stopping kids having access to devices and the Internet at all. I don't think that's the answer.

Go to settings.
Go to general.
Click on Enable Restrictions
At this point it will ask you to enter a 4 digit pin code. This is entirely separate from the pin code to open the iPad. Choose one that the kid/s won't guess.
Enter code twice as instructed.
Scroll down to allowed content.
Click on all fields and choose appropriate levels. Eg: websites - limit adult content
Movies - G, PG etc etc.

Done!
Too easy ?

If you want to limit screen time there is an app called Our Pact you can add to the iPad.

Cheers.

I assume android would have similar settings.
I told my fiancé I was going to change the settings on his phone and set the code to the date of our first kiss or something just as cheesy lol. He didn't seem too phased.
