Fallen pregnant on the pill.

Fallen pregnant on the pill.

So i have fallen pregnant while on the pill, honestly I'm not ready for this me and my husband only got married back in May we are only just settling into our house together. I just dont know how this could have happen I took the pill at the same time every single day never missed it, I was also diagnosed with polycystic ovaries 6 years ago and was told 3 years ago that the only way i was ever going to get pregnant was through IVF.. I haven't had any cysts for 2 years after having key hole surgery to remove a cluster of them, I have a higher chance then usual of having a miscarriage because of my health issues I'm lost I don't have any family to turn to, I can't get in to see a doctor for three weeks I'm scared, lost and need some advice I'm sorry I know this is long.

I guess my question is how could this have happen?
Has anyone else fallen pregnant while on the pill?
I was taking the pill right up until I found two days ago I'm at least 4weeks could the pill have harmed my baby?
How do you know if your having a miscarriage?

Thank you for all the advice in advance.

Have you been ill? diarreah, anti-biotics etc those things can stop the pill from working. Your body could have just been ready to fall pregnant. And sometimes the pill just doesn't work. My sister fell pregnant on the pill twice her kids are just fine. The choice is yours just make sure you discuss it with your husband also. Don't make any decisions without him as that can be a deal breaker. Good luck with what ever you choose to do.

No the pill won't have harmed the baby. Yes I've fallen pregnant on the pill. Getting sick with gastro, food poisoning, and even eating certain foods can lower the pills effectiveness.
It's totally up to you and your husband what you do.
I was single and not even 21 when it happened to me. I don't think it was any harder than if I'd planned it once the initial shock wore off.

Heaps of things affect the pill- antibiotics, vomiting etc or you could just be the 2% it doesn't work for. As long as you stopped immediately (4 weeks) you should be fine as the placenta hasn't formed and so it hasn't crossed it and into baby.
Heavily bleeding and cramping are the tell tails signs but there's also a missed miscarriage which you won't know until a scan. There is nothing you can do to prevent a miscarriage though.. But the fact you got pregnant on the pill means this baby is meant to be. I'm sure you'll be ok ?

I was on the pill (taken religiously), have PCOS, and lost an ovary and tube due to ingunal hernia's and a dodgy doctor when I was an infant, had just had a expensive move and found out I was 3 months pregnant with our little princess. The pill did not harm her, in fact the doctors weren't concerned at all. It was difficult but we absolutely adore our little miracle, especially given that while I have always wanted kids I had locked that desire away as the odds were that would never happen naturally for me and it hurt too much to think about it. Sometimes things are just meant to be and we are forever grateful for our miracle that medically should never have been able to happen.

I got pregnanct on the pill twice. First time me and my now partner had only been together 6 months. We kept her and I lost the next one. My advice your never ready for a child. Only 1 of us works we have 3 children and we earn less that 40 grand a year yet we have everything and our kids are spoiled. In saying that this child your pregnanct with you may be scared but it coils be the only chance you get to have a child

I haven't fallen pregnant on this pill but found out I was pregnant unexpectedly at a not so great time, 5 weeks before our wedding & a bad point in my career. I also struggle with borderline polycistic ovaries & had keyhole surgery a month or two prior for endometriosis. I to felt lost at the time. Honestly it was the best thing that has ever happened to me I went onto have our beautiful little boy who is now 4 he makes ever day better especially the bad ones ... he's exactly what we needed even if we didn't know it at the time. We went onto give him a little brother also. A baby does throw a spanner in the mix but honestly life goes on, we married, built the house, both progressed in our career we just have 2 little spectators xx
I have friends who fell pregnant while on the pill and it caused no ill effect on the baby.
Good luck with your decision!
