Constantly crying 2 year old!

Constantly crying 2 year old!

I know this might be an odd post, but I feel as though I need to hear that this is somewhat normal behaviour for children similar in age to my daughter.

My daughter is a beautiful, bubbly, little ray of sunshine, recently turned 2 year old. She is the perfect child, except for one thing, and this absolutely drives me mental.

She cries ALL THE TIME. And if she is not crying she is whinging or "fake crying" (no tears)

It drives me to the absolute breaking point. Even when there is no reason to cry she still cries, for example, she will walk around the house, just sobbing, then she will find a toy or something that interests her, she will play and giggle, then once she's bored with that she will resume crying again. If we go outside to play, she alternates her time by playing with me and then running inside the house crying, then 2 minutes later she's running outside crying. Its literally getting to the point she is crying more then she's not.

If I ignore her the crying gets worse, if I comfort her the crying gets worse.
Usually it starts as fake crying, then if I ignore her it turns to real tears, screaming and hyperventilating and sometimes she gets so worked up she holds her breath. If I comfort her, again she will start crying tears, she will kick, scream and struggle and eventually it turns into a tantrum unless I can find something to distract her from what she's crying about (toy, cat, TV etc) it usually distracts her enough to calm down and prevent a melt down.

She is pretty advanced for her age and does a pretty good job of communicating with me, but when I ask "What's wrong?" Or "Why are you crying?" She can't give me a response.

She is very healthy, no medical issues and no medical/pain reason why she would just cry all the time.

She has been this way since infancy, and I've always been told it will get better, but it hasn't. I'm sick of being known as the mum with the stroppy kid, when I know how beautiful, fun and amazing she can be, it's just unfortunate that no one else can see that.

I just need to know, when does it stop!?!?
