Hi ladies!
I'm after advice from those of you who have had bleeding throughout your pregnancy.
I'm almost 14 weeks and I've been bleeding on and off since 4 weeks (more on than off).
So far it has only been when I wiped after going to the toilet but the last few weeks it has increased in depth of colour and amount. I've passed the occasional clot along with it.
I've seen my Dr and had numerous scans only to be told they can't find where its coming from and the baby is growing well with a strong heartbeat ( this is great news ) but I am so stressed which isn't healthy.
I guess I would like to know how you dealt with it, how did you decide what was a serious bleed and when did you know to call your Dr.
I'm at the point where I feel like I'm being a real pain in the butt bothering my GP all the time.
I'm not seeing midwife just GP and OB at the hospital as I'm classed as high risk due to previous prem baby and pre eclampsia.

This was my entire pregnancy. I bled from 7 weeks until when I gave birth to my baby preterm. Doctors could never tell me why I was bleeding and unfortunately I was told numerous times that there would be nothing they could do until I was 24 weeks. Early stages they thought I was having a mc. It was an extremely difficult time during my pregnancy and after a rather large bleed at 26wks and I went into labour, thankfully they managed to stop it but I was on bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy. I developed pre-natal and post-natal depression as the whole pregnancy was extremely difficult emotionally.
I had spotting at 6 weeks, it totally freaked me out and I was a nervous wreck for weeks after. I had so many scans in the early days just to check everything was okay (I had an understanding GP!). The pregnancy progressed and everything was fine, baby was growing well etc etc until the third trimester when I had recurrent bleeds. It was scary but the baby was still totally fine and unaffected by the bleedhbg. I ended up being put on bedrest at 35 weeks and the bleeding stopped. I gave birth to a vigorous, healthy, full term boy on the day after his due date. Had another bleed after labour but it was well managed and my obs who was expecting it. The doctors said that if you bleed early on in pregnancy you're more likely to bleed throughout the pregnancy/during delivery. It was scary and I know it can be a sign of something bad, but not always. Chin up. Try to spend the next couple of weeks/months as relaxed as possible xx
