Big move! Will my 3 year old adjust?

Hi mummas!
In a few short months i'll be making the move from the Gold Coast to Mackay.
I've been wanting to do it for over a year now but never had the ball as im so anxious of the unknown and ive never lived anywhere else but the GC. I guess i have a few questions, Is there anything i may forget about budgeting for with the move (bond clean, rent in advance, backloading company, petrol for the drive etc) also im concerned as to how my almost 3 year old will adjust, he is very close to my family and friends here, loves his kindy etc and we will be moving to a town where i'll know only my closest friend? will he be okay? also if theres anyone in Mackay who would love to meet for coffee or playdates, holla! Were looking for a great GP too! :)

Have you found work in Mackay already?
The unemployment line is loooong...and more and more businesses are closing.
There are always unexpected expenses with moving, maybe put aside a bit extra.
Children are adaptable and happy if you are happy.
Do you rely on family for babysitting, helping out?
That may be hard for you, not having more support.
Mackay is lovely and don't blame you for wanting to move there...I wouldn't move without guaranteed employment.
