Painful erections

Painful erections

Mr 5yr old has just told me that when he has an erection his penis is very painful.
He had an erection when he told me this, I asked him to show me, his foreskin is still intact.
Is this normal?
Could this be the reason to the painful erections?
He has a doctors appointment in a week and I'll ask then for those who will say see a doctor.

The average age for the foreskin to retract is 10, so definitely normal. My son is 6 and his is still pretty much stuck. He has never told me about painful erections although he said it looks cool when it goes 'big' before he pees. Sorry I can't help more.

My younger brother was like this. His foreskin was way to tight and when he got erections it was extremly painful. After speaking with drs and specialists he ended up having a circumcision.

This happened to my son when he was 4. I took him to the dr and we were told he had a infection in the glands! Not sure what caused it, he is in tact and his skin was still fused so nothing to do with cleaning. He had a dose of antibiotics and he was fine in two days. His 9 now and hasn't had a problem since.
