My DD has been going into weird trances.
One day she all of a sudden started flapping her hands and asking for Daddy saying "I need my Daddy, I need my Daddy" for about 30 seconds...after I asked her if she was okay and she said "I'm fine Mummy"
Another time she was standing up doing something and I sat on the bed where she last had been sitting and then all of a sudden she said she needed to sit there and started clapping her hands again and walked a couple metres away saying "I'm fine, I'm fine", then hopped back on the bed and lied down quietly...
I tried to video it, but once I got my phone ready she just about finished...
I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar?

My advice is to go to a Paediatrician. There could be a medical reason for this happening. It sounds like a mini seizure to me. They don't always have to loose consciousness during a seizure. Also you can get motion sensor cameras and put them around the house. You'll be the only one that knows it's there and can always review the footage after an episode to see if you caught anything.
How old is your daughter?

My friends son does this...he is autistic. He is a great boy though and very intelligent. Not saying your daughter is autistic but it could be possible.
My daughter had few similiar episodes for the first 18 months after starting prep (so similar age). My girl would hysterically run around crying for about 30 seconds and then be fine, not recall the episode and usually followed with a short sleep. Probably happened about 6 times. Often when over tired.
We saw a paediatrician and neurologist, had EEG, MRI etc and they couldn't find anything. She is 11 now and is perfectly fine! I suggest having her checked out, even try and get her to a dr while she is having one, but don't let it worry you too much in the mean time... X
