Work

Hi all, I'm after some advice. I would really love to obtain a position in hospitality in an aged care facility. I have a back ground in waitressing and cafe type work. But I never seem to get a look in. Any suggestions on how to stand out from the crowd? I did do a safe food handling course but it was 5 years ago now, think I should up date this. Is there a particular course I should do for these type of positions? Can I do it online? Any help would really be appriciated.

Ask to do work experience at a nursing home. You will get to question them on what they are looking for and they will get to know you and your work ethic!

First aid certificate. Food safety superviser (if you want to work in the kitchens)
Or if you are happy to study then a cert 3 in aged care.
