So exhausted

I'm always tired, to get through the day I need multiple energy drinks, all I wanna do is just lay down all day! Im so motivated, I wanna get things done but my body just feels so heavy!! I just get so exhausted its crazy! I need to stop the energy drinks, and I do for a week or so but then I need to get a big job done in the house and I'm back on them. I've had my iron checked, I've had my thyroid checked, I'm not depressed.

I'm looking for a natural energy boost! Something I can take that will have the same kinda effect as an energy drink but hopefully without the massive come down! Aswell as the fact they are sooooo unhealthy and my children (2 and 3 year old) are getting older and they can not catch on to what crap I'm putting into my body especially when I tell them they can't have juice daily! Any suggestions would be great! Thankyou :)

Ironically enough, cutting out sugar and caffeine is supposed to increase your energy levels in the long run.
Clean your diet up as best as you can and see how you feel after a month or two.
Try multivitamins, beroccas, or fruit/veg smoothies to make sure your body is getting everything it needs.

I eat fruit when I need energy and a slow release bananas are great and apples. Don't quote me but have you spoken to your gp about how much energy drinks you are drinking I recall reading a while ago how your body can get addicted to the caffeine and something about having trouble feeling energized without them again don't quote me I never paid much attention to it as I dont drink them

I'd make sure I was eating a good breakfast and lunch that involves protein and vegies and a bit of carbs. Maybe see a dietitian to help you with that.
Those drinks create a vicious cycle. So getting off them may make you feel worse initially but over time you will feel better.
Plus having a 2 and 3 year old, will be exhausting!!

Are you well hydrated? Drinking lots of water?

I would be looking further into what's causing this fatigue, to be honest. Thyroid, iron levels etc are good - great. Do you have a sleep disorder/sleep apnoea? Snore? Auto-immune condition (MS? Lupus?) If you're as tired as you describe and are sleeping enough (8ish hours per night) then that's not okay and it needs to be looked into. Masking it is fine but if it's something that is being left untreated it's just going to get worse.

Have you had your vit b levels checked? I would be going back to the doctor & askig them to look into it further. Try Epsom salt baths too.

Magnesium could be deficient. A magnesium supplement needs to be one with Vitamin B6, as the magnesium needs it in order to be absorbed by the body, and not just be flushed straight out. There are topical magnesiums, and magnesium for in the bath. Many people swear by it, and it helps for sooo many health issues. Good luck.
