What do you feed your kids for tea??
My children mr 4 & miss 3, refuse to eat anything "nutritional" for dinner. They both wake at 6 have brekky of just cereal about 7, which is great, never a fuss with breakfast, lunch is always basic jam sandwiches maybe nutella with fruit, then come dinner, i dont want to deal with it on a good day!! They will happily eat nuggets, frankfurts, noodles, pies, spaghetti (in a tin) but if i try feeding spag bol they wont eat it, i try lamb cutlets still no, no substantial meat at all.. i know they get fed every night and what not but i feel they should be eating quality food . Its not that we dont try because believe me we f#$%ing try.. they were fed frozen homemade veg puree since 6 months i dont understand?? Now they see green and freak out!!
On day care days i dont expect them to have a ravenous appetite so 2 nights a week i dont fuss AS much but other nights i feel guilty that they wont eat what i prepare, what i feel they should eat
Its at the point im trying the repetition method at the moment... ive been told if you offer it enough they will eventually like it at the very least try it, i think its crap, its not working!! Every night for 3 nights its ben steak finely cut with mac n cheese and they hate it, ill send them to bed, prepare the same for tomorrow
Anyway, how do you get your kids to eat meat..??

Would they eat the nutritious "dinnertime" meals for lunch, do you think? Try giving them their main meal at lunch and do the sandwiches etc at dinnertime. Some kids are just so knackered by the end of the day they will not go for anything but the most comforting and familiar at that time.
Otherwise, I do up a plate of raw veggies (cherry tomatoes, cucumber, raw capsicum, baby spinach, carrots and some frozen peas/corn kernals) for my daughter to snack on in the afternoons. She's never been terribly keen on cooked vegetables, but will devour that plate in short order. That way, if she isn't keen on what's for dinner, I know she's had a couple of serves of vegetables for the day. I make sure she has a piece of fruit at breakfast and/or lunch. Dinner some nights is literally pasta with a jarred sauce such as Raguletto or Dolmio. I've heard some friends say they stir through an egg or two when heating the sauce and pasta together to add protein and fat to the meal. She won't eat mince very often so I make a lentil bolognese for her and I, which always includes chopped carrots and peas and corn. Also kidney beans. She will eat chicken schnitzel prepared by her dad - he uses panko breadcrumbs, and shallow fries then finishes them off in the oven so they're crunchy. We make sweet potato chips in the oven to go with the schnitzel.
I hope this helps a little.
Mince, Sausages, rissoles, tiny meat balls were the go at our house.
One of my sons would only eat very plain food, Hated meat especially if it wasn't minced. His favourite was plain pasta with some salt. He would it eat it for all three meals and was still eating pasta like that when he left home at 18! He preferred veges raw and he also liked 'mummy' chips - basically home oven baked thick cut chips. Bananas and grapes were his staple fruits and still are... To replace the protein I offered eggs and baked beans which were popular. Dairy was custard or icecream (no milk, cheese or yoghurt). He survived :) Good luck Mumma
I have, an extremely fussy eater! He is 3 and I pretty much did backflips from excitement the day he ate a sausage and said it was yum and ate two more...
His diet pretty much consists of toast for breakfast, banana, apple or yoghurt for snacks, cheese sandwhich for lunch and at tea I dish him up the same meal as the whole family has and hope he'll eat some!
I have had minor success with homemade chicken breast nuggets.
Spaghetti with just bolognese sauce. Homemade chips, Schnitzels, and he eats carbonara with Latina ravioli
But most of the time he just plays with his food. His big brother was the same then gradually he just started eating everything. I just kept dishing it up to him and slowly he'd try things on the plate and now he eats everything!
