Swaying for a boy

I'm just after some tips to sway the odds of having a boy. Did you only dtd close to ovulating? If you have a five day fertility period when did you dtd (3rd day, 4th day)?
If you used the ovulation kit and it says your peak fertility time that means within 48 hours so did you dtd that night next day?

We have been trying but nothing.

Does the moon cycle really work or the Chinese calendar?

Does the diet really work? High potassium? Salty chips etc?

I have girls and my diet was non nutriches food so that seems correct.

Any helpful information would be great or tips that helped you.

I have 5 kids, 3 boys, 2 girls, I wasn't actively trying for either gender, but I predicted each one with accuracy by how close to ovulating I was, the boys were right on O, the girls were a few days before

The moon chart didn't get any of mine right

Both my kids were IUI so fertility clinic injecting sperm in the day of ovulation after tracking bloods.
I have one of each so I'm not sure that it matters whether you dtd on the day or before or after. I think it's just luck of the draw. But in saying that I wish you all the best and hope you get your boy!!

The theory behind this "method" is that boy sperm are faster, but weaker, they get there first but then die off, the girl sperm are slower but stronger, they last longer
So the closer to ovulation, the higher chance the faster boy sperm will reach the ovum, a few days before, higher chance the boys have died off leaving the female to reach the ovum

I don't know much about iui, but there could be variables like temperatures, how far up they were injected compared to traditional method etc

Of course there will always be variables, but in terms of swaying the odds, I think there'd be a better chance if the op dtd right on ovulation

With IUI, the sperm is injected quiet high into the cervix/uterus thus decreasing the distance of travelling to egg. So theoretically, it's a completely different ball game.

I would be ttc on day 4 and 5 of ovulation for a boy. You really need to know your cycle for this method to be effective. I feel the diet changes is more of an old wives tale then proven research.

I think you just get what you're given...nothing wrong with only having girls! I have all girls and they couldn't be more different. One is a total tomboy it feels like I have a boy anyway lol.

Nothing wrong with trying to sway the gender of future children either!

Swaying for a certain gender will possibly set you up for disappointment.

When I fell pregnant with my boys my ex's diet was extremely unhealthy. When I fell pregnant with my daughter his diet consisted of less fast food, more fresh food and we were both under a lot of stress. What you conceive has nothing to do with you but your partners sperm and what he has more of. If he's a farmer and works with lots of chemicals you are more likely going to produce girls. I know a guy who had two girls stopped working with the chemicals for a year and then produced a boy. I don't think it's as easy as people think it is. No method is going to be full proof.

I always tried on ovulation day with no success. I tried 2 days earlier and got our second girl who i love so much. I would like my third to be a boy so im going to try on ovulation day which i assume would be the 4th day after ovulation kit says yes. I am also going to to and alkaline myself with bicarb soda baths. Eat certain foods and have good multivitamins. Try certain sexual positions close to cervix and give hubby caffeine before. If it doesnt work at least i will know i tried my best and ill be happy with what i have.
