Hi all, I am in need of some advise. I a mum to a gorgeous 6 year old little girl who continually pees her pants. Medically she is all good. My problem is she will not change herself afterwards. She only gets in trouble for not changing, not the actual wetting itself. 1 problem at a time. This has been going on since she started school 18 months ago. Teachers are aware & get her to change if they notice

Most kids that wet there pants at this age do it because they don't want to stop what they are doing to go to the toilet.
Which is the same reason she won't change herself without a prompt from the teacher.
In my experience getting the teacher to send her to the toilet before break times will stop this entire cycle in its tracks. She will eventually realise she is going to be sent anyway so she might as well do it.
You are correct, when I question her it is always around lunchtimes. As I said I have discussed with teachers. Is all good when they remind her but as soon as they stop she reverts to old ways. I don't know how to get in her little head the importance of personal hygiene
