Im a recently single mum, im currently living back with my parents.

I really don't want to just move out and get stuck in the rent trap.

Is owning my own home possible?
Im currently on Centrelink but am planning on returning to work in the next year or so.

Once i get ahead again im planning on saving for a deposit.
How much would i need to save? .

I saw that keystart does shared ownership loans were i only have to give them a 2% deposit.
Whats the catch? What can't i do to the house if the government owns up to 30% of my house?
