2 year old no vagina hole but had one at birth

We've just discovered our 2 year old daughter has no vagina hole. She did when she was born but now she doesn't it's sealed up there's just a seam there. I took her to the doctor but he had never heard of it or seen it and at first tried to say its normal until he looked. He's sent away a referral but i still have no answers and i'm really worried about it. I called 13 health and spoke to a registered nurse who also hadn't heard of it but she spoke to a baby nurse and she had heard of it but only in newborns not in a child my daughters age. The registered nurse told me to go sit up the hospital to get an answer and it looked at by someone who knows what there doing which i will be doing tomorrow. Cause i honestly don't know how she's weeing it's sealed from the bottom to the top. I was just wondering has anyone heard of this or experienced it?

The urethral hole is actually above the vagina opening thus why she should still be able to wee. Is it the vagina hole that has closed up? Or the inner labia?

My niece had this, it's easily fixable sometimes some fairly minor surgery is required, other children just get some exercises and others fix themselves.
My niece is now in her 20s has a boyfriend etc.,

My daughter had the same thing and it got to the point where she was starting to have issues urinating. It was a fused labia and the paediatrician prescribed a hormone cream which we applied and it opened up again. He said for really bad cases they can do a minor operation. Go with your gut if you know something isn't right.

Please get her checked for a Urinary Tract Infection. My little girl ended up in hospital with one and it was awful.

It's sealed all the way up so wee spurts out forewards (there is a tiny hole still at the top but wee would sit in the hole and not be able to escape). The vagina hole all the way up to her clitoris is sealed.

My 7 year old daughter has had this since birth. We tried estrogen cream but it didn't work, she then had it operated on when she was 3 but it resealed itself so now we just wait and see if it resolves on its own before she hits puberty otherwise she will need another operation so she can mensturate. I would not recommend surgery after going through this with my daughter, it was painful and trumatic for her. Just relax and wait, its apparently more common than you realise

My daughter went to hospital with a bad UTI at 11months (she wasn't able to tell us and only showed symptoms when it was too late) and they discovered she had a vaginal adhesion. The labia was fusing over her opening and that's what caused the UTI (they think it may have trapped some faeces). They said it was from a lack of Oestrogen in her system and it would sort itself out once she started producing her own. They gave her a oestrogen cream to apply to open it up again and it worked a treat however I think they only did that because she was so sick. They would normally just let it sort itself out providing it wasn't causing issues when she wee'd.

As said you pee from the urethra it's above the vagina. If she's having wet nappies it's not an issue. I was born with a fused labia but I eventually back then just opened on its own. its also not as easy as it opens and all is ok. I'm 27 and mine still tries to close over. Birthing 3 kids was herendous.
