Locating and obtaining medical information

Hello!

I have a question in regards to finding my partners biological father.

My partner has been to the drs recently and has been asked to update his family history.

However, my partners biological father has not been in his life since conception. From what he has been told there was a paternity test done and he paid child support but he isn't listed on his birth certificate.
My partner has limited information about his father's life and we aren't sure where to begin to even look.

I was wondering if anybody here can point me in the right direction of locating him (we only have a name) or if there is a way to obtain a copy of his father's medical records through the health system?
Asking his mother is not an option as she is rather hostile to the situation and does not see why he needs to know about him.
My partner is looking into it for his health and our daughters future.
We are in Queensland.

Thanks for any help or insight

Start with social media, using similar names/abbreviated names/similar spelling. You could also search the electoral rolls.
You won't be able to get medical records without his permission.

The best way is to go to your local electoral office. They have a computer set up for public use. As long as you have his name and have an idea of what state he lives in you can search the electoral rolls for his registered voting address. Hope this helps.
