Returning to work full-time when bub is 9 weeks old.

I am currently about to return to work full. My 2nd will be 9 weeks old and in care 5 days. Apart from ringing the career whenever I want to ease my mind what else can I do to make the transition smooth for myself as I have major mumma guilt. Also I want to return to work I just wish bub would have been that little bit older! Would like to here from other mums who've been in my shoes. X

I did it and being very honest, every inch of me is saying ohhhh dont do it, dont do it to her, or to you, shes so tiny youll miss so much, especially full time, its just not worth it.
I only lasted a few months and quit. Then i returned Part time at nine months, perfect transition for us both.
But look if you have to do it, baby was fine, i was fine, it hurts but you get through and it will become your 'normal' eventually. All the best.

I had to go back part time after my two babies at about 6 months and it was really tough as i had a very full on job even thought I was only part time! If you have to for money reasons then that's totally understandable but can you look at maybe 3 days or half days? It's tough on you being away for long days when they are so little, can you talk to your employer about part time or some flexibility?

Ask yourself if you really need to go back so soon.. Is it possible to go less like 2 or 3 days instead of 5. That's alot of days for a baby to be in day care away from family. I know what it was like coming home from school alone and walking to school alone not seeing my mum much coz she worked. And even though she had no choice I wish she didn't have to work so much. Parental bond is more important then lots of money so if you don't need to think about bringing down your hours.
